Getting started with PaperScreen

Choose a display mode

Color E-paper adds a paper tone and texture while keeping color, motion, and live content intact. Soft Light leaves out the paper texture and instead softens the cool, bright character of the display.

PaperScreen remembers the last style you chose for each mode, so moving between Color E-paper and Soft Light does not reset your preferences.

Adjust the current style

Choose Adjust on the selected mode card to open its style picker. A choice is applied immediately, which makes it easy to compare styles over the pages and apps you actually use.

   Start with Cotton Art Paper or Natural Soft Light.

   Check text clarity, white backgrounds, dark areas, and familiar colors.

   Move to a stronger texture or deeper amber only when it feels more comfortable over time.

Pause, hide, and return

The switch in the title bar pauses or resumes the current effect. Closing the main window hides it; it does not stop an effect that is already on. Use the PaperScreen menu bar icon to bring the window back whenever you need it.
