PaperScreen Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Chang Studio handles information when providing the PaperScreen app, website, and support.
Scope
This policy applies to the PaperScreen desktop app, the PaperScreen website, and support communications between you and Chang Studio.
Information handled by the app
PaperScreen does not require an account. Display modes, paper choices, displays, exclusions, shortcuts, and automatic adjustment rules are processed offline and stored locally on your device.
Screen content
PaperScreen does not collect, store, or upload screen content. Display overlays are generated on your device and are not used for profiling, advertising, or analytics.
Purchase information
For purchases through the Mac App Store, Apple processes the transaction and payment information. PaperScreen reads only the purchase status Apple provides to verify Pro access and does not receive complete card or payment details.
Support communications
When you email support, we receive your email address, message, and any screenshots or files you choose to attach. We use this information only to respond, diagnose issues, and improve the product.
Website and technical logs
The website does not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Hosting and network providers such as Cloudflare may automatically process limited technical information—including IP address, browser type, and request time—for security, reliability, and basic access logs.
Service providers and sharing
We do not sell personal information or provide screen content to third parties. Apple processes store purchases and Cloudflare provides website hosting and network services. We disclose information only as needed to provide those services or when required by law.
Retention and deletion
You control local settings and can remove them by resetting the app or uninstalling it. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to handle the request, maintain necessary records, or meet legal obligations. You may contact us to request deletion of related support correspondence.
Children’s privacy
PaperScreen is not designed to collect personal information from children and does not create age-based profiles. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page when product features or information practices change. We will revise the effective date and provide appropriate notice of material changes.
