Set automatic Light and Dark appearance

macOS can switch between Light and Dark appearance automatically. PaperScreen reapplies its display effect when the system appearance changes.

How to set it up

  1. 01

    Open System Settings

    Choose the Apple menu in the top-left corner of the screen, then select System Settings.

    Open Appearance

    Select Appearance in the System Settings sidebar.

  3. 03

    Choose Auto

    Under Appearance, choose Auto and let macOS switch between Light and Dark throughout the day.

  4. 04

    Keep using PaperScreen

    No extra PaperScreen rule is needed. The current effect refreshes after the system appearance changes.
